Bend Plating started in 1980. Back then, our initial plating shop worked on a variety of jobs. These ranged from antique cook stoves to private aircraft. Although our projects were varied, they shared something in common: unparalleled quality, flexibility, and detail, no matter the service.

As the projects evolved in complexity, finish, and quantity, so did Bend Plating. After incorporating metal finishing services, our team recognized the difficulty with former industry-standard brass. So, we pioneered the application of user-friendly finishes. These finishes were tarnish-resistant and required minimal maintenance. It only made sense that we would introduce the first gold-plated trim for multiple uses, shifting the US and Canadian markets from brass trim to gold nearly overnight.

Years later, we are still evolving. We developed a proprietary finish for the gaming industry that changed gaming floor finishes in casinos worldwide and is still being used today. We also saw a need to reduce lead times for our customers who were requiring PVD – LTAVD coatings. We brought this process in-house and directly provided it to our customers as a solution.

Only one out of ten metal plating shops across the country offer polishing services. Of those that do offer metal polishing services, only about 10% utilize robots and automated polishing techniques.
